This DVD captures this untameable place, combining High Definition technology with award-winning filmmaking skills: Featuring the Antarctic Peninsula, South Georgia Island and the Falkland Islands, Antarctica Dreaming documents all the major Antarctic and sub-Antarctic animals and their life-cycles over an entire season, and captures the varying climatic and ice conditions from wild white blizzards to fire red sunsets reflected in a glassy sea. Some of the fascinating creatures in the film include Gentoo, Adelie and Chinstrap Penguins, King Penguins, Rockhopper Penguins, Weddell, Crabeater and Leopard Seals, Fur and Elephant Seals and a broad montage of seabirds.
Antarctica Dreaming is the combined vision of Emmy Award winning cinematographer, David Hannan, and independent documentary filmmaker and Antarctic voyager, Toni Davis. The program was filmed using High Definition format cameras. This DVD is sure to mesmerize, amuse, entertain and educate audiences of all ages.
