Be Kind Rewind

Mike (Mos Def) works in a video store in an age where VHS is long dead but the stores owner Mr Fletcher (Danny Glover) doesnt seem to be in any hurry to change. When Mikes friend Jerry (Jack Black), whos been magnetized in a power station accident, wipes all the videotapes blank, the tow of them decide to recreate the movies themselves rather than face Fletcher. Their hilariously low-budget versions of films such as Ghostbusters, Rush Hour and Driving Miss Daisy soon begin to draw attention and a lot of business to the store from enthusiastic renters.
The blend of the movies great cast (which includes Mia Farrow and Sigourney Weaver) and pitch-perfect writing and direction from writer-director Michel Gondry culminates in a truly delightful movie and a daffy, adorable and very funny celebration of the DIY spirit.
