PARENTHOOD

The Buckmans are a modern-day family facing the age-old dilemma of trying to raise children the "right" way. At the centre of the storm is Gil, who manages to keep his unique sense of humour while attempting to maintain a successful career and be a loving husband and parent, all at the same time. As Gil and the rest of the Buckmans discover, being the "perfect" parent often means just letting children be themselves.

HOUSESITTER

She came. She saw. She moved in.
When his long-time girlfriend Becky says no to marriage and the house he has built, architect Newton Davis takes it badly. Three months later a one night liaison with livewire waitress Gwen gets rather out of control when she tracks down the dream house, moves in, and lets it be known locally that she and Newton are married. Everyone in the small town take to her, including his parents, while Becky shows renewed interest. When Newton realises the situation he suggests to Gwen that continuing the deception might have advantages for both of them.

THE JERK

That wild and crazy guy, Steve Martin, makes his film starring dbut in this wild and crazy comedy hit The Jerk. Steve portrays Navin Johnson, adopted son of a poor black share cropper family, whose crazy inventions lead him from rags to riches and right back to rags. Along the way, he's smitten with a lady motorcycle racer, survives a series of screwball attacks by a deranged killer, becomes a millionaire by inventing the "Opti Grab" handle for eyeglasses.
