Stories from the Golf

Stories from the Golf are slice of life tales told in five-minute episodes. In each instalment the Golf is hired by a different driver, whose reason for renting a car unravels the story.

1. The Getaway A shabby and not too bright young man hires the Golf as the getaway car in a bank robbery.
2, Woman in the Back Seat A hard nosed newspaper journalist secretly meets a source in the Golf who has promised her a big story.
3. Dirty Weekend A married couple bicker their way to a Prostitutes and Pimps party.
4. Christian Soup A group of fervent Christians have their faith sorely tested on their way to a weekend of spiritual healing.
5. Fuckstocker A nervous man with an unfortunate name hires the Golf to reluctantly go to his father's funeral.
6. The Journey Two French tourists hire the Golf for a steamy and sexy day trip down to the beach.
7. Karaoke Roadie When his bongo van dies, an ageing would be rocker hires the Golf to travel to his rock and roll Karaoke show.
8. Pedestrian Awareness Vehicle A woman drives slowly in front of her husband in the Golf as he attempts to walk around Australia to promote Pedestrian Awareness.
9. Jitterbug A '57 Chev is double booked for a wedding and the only available hire car is the Golf.
10. Father and Son A dishevelled and lost man hires the Golf to impress his father and embarks on a strange journey.
11. Me and My Gal An overbearing mother takes her thirty-something daughter to the country in the Golf to try and find her a husband.
12. Smashing Pumpkin An old man must surrender his driver's licence, but when he sees the Golf in the hire yard on the way, he has to take his wife for one last drive.
13. Syncopated Road Rage An embittered travelling salesman has a fit of road rage.
