From debuting director Riad Sattouf comes a rollicking tale of a pair of losers who suffer the small triumphs and endless humiliations of teenage sexual longing. While pimply wiseass Herve (Vincent Lacoste) and his metalhead sidekick, Camel (Anthony Sonigo) are forever fantasising over their female classmates (as well as said classmates' mothers), they're rarely ever able to go as far as actually talking to a girl, except when it's to mumble a few incoherent insults.
However when Herve finally catches the eye of the sweet but equally sex-crazed Aurore (Alice Tremolieres), he's pushed to choose between his first probable girlfriend and his unquenchable libido, while dealing with a nosy mother (Noemie Lvovsky) and Camel's fears that Herve will score before he does. Remarkably fresh and smart, this raunchy laugh-out-loud comedy brought the house down at the 2009 Cannes International Film Festival where it screened as part of the Director's Fortnight line-up.
