Echo Beach is equal parts innovative and traditional television, an unshamedly self aware soap set in the surfing town of Polnarren on the Cornish Coast.

The addictive new British drama traces the lives of ex lovers Susan Peewarden (Martine McCutcheon: Eastenders, Love Actually) and Daniel Marrack (Jason Donovan: Neighbours) whose complicated affair take place against a backdrop of teenage angst, family loyalties, old rivalries and new attractions.

Married to mark (Hugo Speer: The Full Monty), Susan's life is thrown into turmoil when Daniel returns to Cornwall. Sensing the developing relationship, Mark will stop at nothing to drive Daniel out of town. The intergenerational narrative also includes a host of charismatic youngsters, all struggling to deal with their own issues.

Viewers will encounter a classy cast of familiar faces, including Johnny Briggs (Coronation Street), Susie Amy (Footballers Wives), Ed Speelers (Eragon), Marcus Patric and Chandeep Uppal.

Screening locally on the ABC and already a critical and commercial hit inthe UK with a weekly average of 4 million viewers, Echo beach can also be viewed in tandem with its sister serires, Moving Wallpaper.

Moving Wallpaper is all edgy wit and black humour as it goes behind the scenes of a fictional soap show, while Echo Beach is the soap itself!

This ground breaking new double bill is the brain child of creator / writer Tony Jordan (Eastenders) and the producers of Spooks and Life On Mars.
