Though settled at Glenbogle, Pauls romances with farmer Isobel Anderson, neighbour Lucy Ford and brewery chairwoman Amanda MacLeish, all falter. Will he ever find his perfect partner? Meanwhile, there is no shortage of drama at Glenbogle. An unhappy Lexie returns from New Zealand; Golly is reunited with his daughter Jess; girl-charmer Ewan becomes Chef and illegal DJ and Molly finds the past catching up with her. For all at Glenbogle, however, a catastrophe is approaching. The estates financial standing becomes increasingly perilous and as creditors and hostile buyers close in, the unthinkable seems inevitable: is this the end of life at Glenbogle for the MacDonald family?
