Roger Corman Collection: Volume 1

Roger Corman is one of the best known directors of Cult movies. At one time or another Francis Ford Coppola, Martin Scorsese, James Cameron and Peter Bogdanovich were employed by Corman.
Even though his films were low budget genre cinema he is hailed as one of the world's great directors. In this first volume of his work we have selected six of his spookiest and unusual films. Included here is the off-beat murder thriller 'A Bucket Of Blood' and what for Corman was considered a big budget film, his take on the 'House Of Usher' starring Vincent Price.

A Bucket of Blood
A goofy busboy at a beatnik coffeehouse desperately wants to be accepted into the "in" crowd. When he accidentally kills a cat and covers its body with molded clay to cover up his accident, the mold becomes a hit piece of art with the beatniks. Then, the busboy, now artist, pursues his new career performing more and more gruesome acts and turning them into works of art for unsuspecting curios.

House of Usher
A man comes to visit the spooky old mansion of his fiancee, who lives there with her even creepier much-older brother. Once there, he begins to fall victim to the growing madness of the brother and sister, menaced by the ghosts of their ancestors.
