On Thanksgiving 1972, one of New York State's most notorious prisons played host to some of music's finest performers. Legendary bluesman B.B. King joined forces with folk singer Joan Baez and the Voices of East Harlem Choir for a highly unique concert.Setting up in New York's notorious Sing Sing maximum security prison, the two music stars hada daunting task on their hands as they took to a makeshift stage to play before some hardened inmates. Fortunately, the performances proved to be a celebratory experience for all involved and even the toughest wardens were spotted tapping their toes! King later claimed that it was one of the finest performances of his career.This engaging film includes the concert in its entirety and fully captures the excitement of this remarkable event. It is also an intimate look at prison life and how the power of music can move even the most hardened of souls.
