US Open 1966, Olympic Golf Club, California:
This promised to be a vintage year, with an all star cast lining up to compete for one of the sport's biggest prizes. From Ben Hogan and Jack Fleck, heroes of the unforgettable showdown of 11 years earlier, to rising star Jack Nicklaus, there was quality throughout the field. But the championship came down to two men. Arnold Palmer and Billy Casper. This film charts the incredible story of how Casper pulled back a seven stroke deficit to force a pay off with what must be one of the greatest comebacks of all time.

World Match Play, Semi-final 1972, Wentworth, England:
There could hardly be two more contrasting figures in golf than Tony Jacklin and Lee Trevino, and when they met for the 1972 World Match Play semi-final showdown, fireworks were guaranteed. The first round proved a nip and tuck battle, but the animated Trevino drew first blood after Jacklin's confidence wavered. The Englishman was back on top form for the second round, drawing the scores level. The pair could not be separated until the final green, when even a miraculous recovery from the rough was not enough for Jacklin to overcome the ebullient Trevino.

Open Championship 1977, Turnberry, Scotland.
Of all the great names at the 1977 Open, it would be Jack Nicklaus and Tom Watson who would create the electric atmosphere for which the event is best remembered. The pair traded blows, sharing the lead with 70 holes playes. Watson snatched a one stroke advantage heading to the final tee, setting up one of the most thrilling climaxes ever. Under pressure. Nicklaus smashed his ball into the rough. He needed the shot of a lifetime to recover, and duly delivered two career-defining strokes, but could he win.

US Masters 1989, Augusta, Georgia:
Heavy rain could not dampen the enthusiasm of the fans, or players, privileged enough to have attended one of golf's greatest ever battle. With just three holes left, six of the finest players in the world were separated by just four strokes. The standard of play was so high legends Seve Ballesteros, Greg Norman and Mike Reid were among the first casualties. Nick Faldo finished ahead if his remaining rivals and endured a tense wait while Scott Hoch and Ben Crenshaw completed their round. Despite errors, Hoch held off a determined Crenchaw and equalled Falso's score to force an edge of the seat play off
